Abstract

Black Feminism, Antiracist, and Antisexist Education at UNILAB" is a book about the analysis of curriculum and teaching issues in the undergraduate courses of the Institute of Humanities at UNILAB, aimed at combating race and gender prejudice. Antiracist and antisexist education is essential for building a conscious identity committed to the promotion of new Afro-perspectived epistemologies and knowledge, gender equality, and the valorization of popular movements. It is important to incorporate discussions about curriculum to break with traditional educational distortions and contribute to antiracist critical formation. The research was conducted with an interdisciplinary qualitative approach and involved students from humanities courses. Legislation, notably Law No. 9,394/96 (LDB), considered one of the main achievements of popular social movements, is fundamental for the regulation of educational and curriculum policies.
